All You Fascists Bound to Lose - No Nobel Peace Prize for You!
A condensed overview of 20 hours of Fox News for the week ending 10/12/25
The folks at Fox News promoted Donald J. Trump as both an unflinching authoritarian who openly defied state governments and a peacemaker who ended a 3000-year conflict with the snap of his fingers.
When their glorious leader did not win the coveted Nobel Peace Prize his servants at Fox News predictably went into a full emotional meltdown meant for an audience of one - the contest was rigged, the judges were woke, it was a meaningless prize, even Norwegians have Trump derangement syndrome, Alfred Nobel was a monster anyway, and people all over the world will demand that Trump get the prize next year.
Of course the Israel-Hamas war was not 3000 years old and Trump is more of a fascist than pacifist.
Other major stories on the network included hysteria surrounding antifascist protesters, and the ongoing government shutdown.
Shows I covered on Fox News last week:
Fox & Friends
The Five
Jesse Watters Primetime
Trump’s meeting with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney
Senate Judiciary Committee - Attorney General Pam Bondi - four hours
The Antifa roundtable at White House
Cabinet meeting
Press conference about Trump Rx
Trump Didn’t Get His Favorite Gold Trinket
For months Donald J. Trump has covered the walls of the Oval Office with tacky plastic appliqués coated in gold leaf. As he surrounded himself with various golden trophies and tributes behind the resolute desk, he whined incessantly about his need for the ultimate award - the Nobel Peace Prize.
Never mind that he blamed Ukraine for a war Russia started. He even briefly cut off military intelligence and funding for the beleaguered nation. The great peacemaker also preemptively bombed Iran.
It also didn’t seem to matter to Trump that he ordered the U.S. military into American cities, deported hundreds of thousands without proper due process, sent migrants to torture mega-prisons or threatened to revoke the citizenship of Americans abroad.
He also declared that Canada, Panama and Greenland should all bow to the will of the United States and just give up their sovereignty.
His minion Elon Musk cut off billions in foreign aid that kept HIV patients healthy, stopped the spread of disease, gave millions access to clean water and kept starving children fed.
The same ‘peacemaker’ threatened to not come to the aid of fellow NATO countries if they did not pony up more funding for their national defense.
His latest contribution to world peace involved destroying small boats in international waters suspected of smuggling narcotics into the U.S.
Trump’s executive order mandating the use of the death penalty for some federal crimes should have been the cherry on top. What is more peaceful than a state sanctioned execution?
Fox News hosts knew how to pitch their response to the news that Trump did not win.
On Friday the folks at “Fox & Friends” opened the three-hour morning show with the announcement.
“And who won the Nobel Peace Prize? We’re going to tell you somebody really important, but it’s not the person we were hoping was going play. I love it, but it could be just delayed,” said Brian Kilmeade.
Steve Doocy turned to a New Jersey diner patron clad in a pink Trump cap and asked,
“Did you hear Trump didn’t win the Nobel Peace Prize?”
“I thought that was awful,” the woman responded.
“I heard it’s kind of crazy, right?” said Doocy.
The official announcement was reduced to a thirty second headline news segment.
“The breaking news to get to the Nobel Peace Prize has been awarded to Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corina Machado,” said Carley Shimkus.
Later on “The Five” Fox News hosts did not hold back their disappointment.
“The White House blasting the Nobel Committee for choosing politics over peace,” said guest host Gillian Turner.
Jesse Watters cried foul.
“I’m not thinking it’s going to happen next year or ever now. The thing’s rigged.”
Retired NYPD inspector Paul Mauro brought up another award.
“We need Ricky Gervais to talk to the Nobel Committee here. You don’t care? Yes. I remember at the Golden Globes.”
On “Jesse Watters Primetime,” the Watters dedicated nearly 14 minutes to an extended about Trump’s loss.
“The snobby snub heard round the world . . . It’s Nobel Peace Prize day, and we have a winner coming in. Maria. Doesn’t sound like Donald . . . So it’s obvious the Nobel Committee has the Norwegian strain of TDS (Trump derangement syndrome) . . . Obama’s Nobel was a DEI prize. . . . There are five members of the Nobel Committee and only one of them is conservative. The chair worked for Doctors Without Borders, a Soros funded consortium that pushes open borders.,” said Watters.
Doctors Without Borders is not an organization dedicated to open border policies. It’s a nonprofit dedicated to providing medical and humanitarian aid to war-torn countries and regions in desperate need.
According to the organization’s website:
Doctors Without Borders offers medical humanitarian assistance to people based solely on need, irrespective of race, religion, gender, or political affiliation. Our teams of doctors, nurses, logisticians, and other frontline workers are often among the first on the scene when peoples’ lives are upended by conflict, disease outbreaks, or natural or human-made disasters. The decision to respond is based solely on our independent assessment of medical needs. We work to ensure that our teams can reach people in need without restriction and provide aid directly.
Watters then made the argument that Russian President Vladimir Putin endorsed Trump for the Nobel prize.
“You know who else admitted the Nobel is rigged? Putin,” said Watters.
Putin has tortured, imprisoned and executed his political enemies, limited basic human rights for Russian citizens and started an unprovoked bloody war in a neighboring country. He has also purposefully targeted civilian buildings, hospitals, schools and the power grid.
Watters then targeted former President Joe Biden.
“Joe Biden is signaling that he should have gotten the Nobel Peace Prize.”
Later in the program Watters featured Phil Elwood, an author of two books about the public relations industry titled All the Worst Humans.
Elwood reduced Alfred Nobel’s contributions to science, medicine, literature and peace down to a public relations stunt.
“Alfred Nobel made his money by selling dynamite. Or he made dynamite, which was a very lethal substance. And that’s how he made his money. Now, he didn’t want to go down in history as a merchant of death. So he created the Nobel Peace Prize as an act of spin.”
After his death his will stipulated that most of his fortune would set up a trust to establish what eventually became the Nobel Prizes. The first five categories were for physics, chemistry, medicine, literature and peace. A prize for economics was added in 1968.
Elwood later implied that Trump could get the Peace Prize in 2026 if there was enough public outcry.
“In 2013. Malala, who everyone thought would win the Nobel Peace Prize, did not win it. There was outrage in the general public and in the media, and she was awarded the prize the very next year.”
Elwood was referring to Malala Yousafzai, the youngest person to ever receive the award at age 17. Yousafzai has advocated for the education of women and children in her native Pakistan.
She began advocating for the education of women and girls through blog using a pseudonym when she was only 11 years old.
When she was only 15, she was shot along with two other girls, by members of the Taliban who were trying to execute her for her activism. After she recovered, she started a foundation to help expand her advocacy.
Fox & Friends Finally Acknowledged Gaza Existed
On Friday “Fox & Friends” featured a short media clip of hundreds of Palestinians walking back towards northern Gaza.
Lawrence Jones described the scene.
“You see, the folks who were once evacuated, guys are going back, and you’ve seen the video of the people saying Trump, Trump, Trump and Gaza, the Palestinians. But you see the same thing in Israel as well, because I think there’s a common, you know, thread here. They realize who’s responsible for this,” said Jones.
Brian Kilmeade assumed a distant city in the horizon was located in Gaza, but it was probably Israel as it looked intact.
“So, look at this. Look at the city in the in the in the back, in the foreground, and then look at the people heading back. So if those people who don’t believe and maybe you’re a skeptic out there and I don’t, you know, I don’t blame you that the peace is going to begin. They would not be heading home because they know that they know the reality of what they’re facing. If they thought the IDF was going to keep bombing. So they’re going back to the rubble, which is the house. 90% of the structures have been destroyed, but the IDF has backed up to their previous yellow line. Once they back up, which is now, then within 24 hours, which is going to be within our show, then we’re going to see within 72 hours all the hostages released,” said Kilmeade.
Ainsley Earhardt then said something that revealed her complete ignorance about the crisis in Gaza.
“It’s interesting they’re walking back. They aren’t able to drive back in,” said Earhardt.
Lawrence Jones responded.
“We’ve seen some vehicles there, but you know, there’s a lot of poverty there and a lot of the cars have been taken by terrorists. And a lot of the tools there. And I just, I just think it’s a beautiful image to see,” said Jones.
Fox News has largely ignored the Israel-Hamas conflict since the last brief ceasefire at the very end of the Biden Administration and start of Trump’s second term. Since the war started the network has featured few images from Gaza.
The little information that Fox supplied its viewers was mostly Israeli propaganda meant to downplay the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
The “PBS News Hour” regularly featured footage from Gaza that showed desperate civilians moving their belongings on foot or with pushcarts. Some residents of Gaza had vehicles at the beginning of the war but the number of people who traveled by foot increased as the area was bombarded by airstrikes.
PBS included footage from Gaza in nearly every single episode of the “News Hour” since the war began including images of wrapped corpses, destroyed homes, tent villages, children with amputated limbs, mass funerals and all the horrors of war that could be expected in a prolonged conflict in a densely populated urban area.
Fox News simply didn’t show much of anything so it’s no surprise that Earhardt was shocked at an image of hundreds of people moving slowly by foot towards what looked like a bombed out wasteland.
In next week’s newsletter I will include more specifics about how the two networks have covered the war.
Beware the Antifa Frog!
On Monday Jesse Watters featured a brief media clip from Portland, Oregon of a un-identified man dressed in an inflatable frog costume outside an ICE facility that has been the site of nightly protests for weeks.
“And for Kermit says he likes the taste of mace,” said Watters before he cut to the clip.
A journalist off camera outside the ICE facility asked the man, “can you tell me what happened when they put mace on you?”
“Nothing. I, kind of coughed a little, but that was about it. That’s about as much as it did to me. Nothing else happened. It is a little peppermint taste you know. I’ve tasted spicier. I’m Mexican,” said the man.
I’m not sure what Watters was trying to accomplish with the footage as it was hardly menacing.
The Antifa Roundtable
On Wednesday President Trump hosted a roundtable of rightwing influencers and propagandists for an ‘Antifa roundtable,’ that was full of inaccurate information, disinformation and complete nonsense.
Kristi Noem, the Secretary of Homeland Security said the following:
“Well, thank you, Mr. President, and thank you for hosting today and focusing on Antifa and the terrorists that they are. Let’s not make any mistake. These individuals do not just want to threaten our law enforcement officers, threaten our journalists and the citizens of this country. They want to kill them. Their agenda is to destroy the American people and our way of life. And this president is standing in their way. He is stopping them from bringing their death and destruction to the individual citizens in this country that just want to raise their kids and their grandkids in peace and in safety. I want to also thank everyone around this table for being so bold and so brave, for standing up and recognizing the threat that Antifa is to our way of life. By recognizing how advanced they are, how sophisticated their networks are, how they’ve infiltrated our entire country, and we’re seeing them play out with their tactics from city to city and how they have built out their funding mechanisms. And, sir, I also want to thank our, Treasury Secretary for his work and getting to the bottom of these funding mechanisms and individuals who are perpetuating this violence on our American cities . . .One of the individuals we arrested recently in Portland, was the girlfriend of one of the founders of Antifa, and that we are hoping that as we go after her, interview her and prosecute her, we will get more and more information about the network and how we can root them out, and eliminate them from the existence of American society.”
Noem also compared Antifa protesters to MS-13, ISIS, Hezbollah and Hamas.
To quote the Brennan Center for Justice:
As both former FBI Director Chris Wrayand the Congressional Research Service have explained, antifa is not a group or an organization, but a decentralized movement. Moreover, the administration has no authority to designate groups as domestic terrorist organizations, as is obvious from the failure to cite any statute or constitutional provision in support of the president’s action. There is none, and the purported designation has no legal effect.
Jesse Watters Basically Calls for a Civil War
On Monday Jesse Watters used the plural ‘they’ to blame the collective political left for various violent acts.
“They shot Charlie. They tried to kill Trump twice. They’re shooting kids at Catholic school. Snipers on rooftops are firing rounds at ICE agents. ABC who just got into a wee bit of trouble with Jimmy Kimmel, now has Joy Behar calling ICE agents Nazis.”
His producers cut to a clip from “The View.”
“During the Nazi occupation. There was one country, I believe it was Denmark and Norway, one of those where everybody put the Jewish star on and they didn’t know who was Jewish, who was not, so what you’re saying is very smart,” said Behar.
It seemed more like her comment was in solidarity with undocumented immigrants. She also didn’t call ICE agents Nazis.
“Is Bob Iger awake at Disney? Is that tasteful? Is that responsible? No one wants a civil war in this country. And just because the Democrat Party is in a civil war doesn’t mean they have to foist war upon the rest of us. We wrote about this in Get it Together (Jesse’s latest book). Don’t make your problems our problems. The last four years, Democrats insisted that federal immigration law was the responsibility of the federal government, and the states had no role. And now that Trump’s president, they’re arguing that the federal government can’t enforce immigration law and the states can obstruct it. This is an attack on the very foundation of the country. It’s an attack on federalism, and it’s a violent attack on the last election. Every day of the week is January 6th for Democrats. The Democrats didn’t want the Guard called in then, and they don’t want them called in now,” said Watters.
Brian Kilmeade to Air Traffic Controllers - Work Without Pay!
During a discussion about the government shutdown Brian Kilmeade addressed air traffic controllers.
“Why you stay at home. If you’re air traffic control, you know you’re vital. And I listen, I want you to get your paychecks, but they’re delayed for the federal government. This is our millionth shutdown. It’s no longer even a big deal if you don’t get one paycheck, which I don’t think you’ve missed yet. You don’t show up for work or you and somehow cahoots to maximize pain on the on the country to get this down. And if you are doing that, what part of you helping. So I’m going to ask you on that Sean that, Sean Duffy. He’s going to be on with us as transportation secretary, as if he doesn’t have enough challenges. He was just says as he was saying they were just starting to get Newark straightened out. They have nine training. They’re close to getting their 30 plus that they need on and getting Newark, which is one of the busiest in the country, and fixing the equipment. And now this happened and they’re just asking people to to stay in your class, continue to train,” said Kilmeade.
Donald J. Trump Pretends He Doesn’t Know Much About Ghislaine Maxwell
On Monday during an Oval Office press conference Kaitlan Collins of CNN asked the president about Ghislaine Maxwell’s failed attempt to have her appeal for her criminal conviction for sex trafficking and other crimes heard by the Supreme Court.
Collins: The Supreme Court is back in session and they rejected today an appeal by Ghislaine Maxwell to overturn her conviction. That means our only chance at getting out of prison is a pardon from youth. Is that something you’re considering?
Trump: Who are we talking about?
Collins: Ghislaine Maxwell
Trump: You know, I haven’t heard the name in so long. I can say this that I’d have to take a look at it. I would have to take a look. Did they reject that?
Collins: She wanted to appeal her conviction.
Trump: And what happened?
Collins: They were not going to hear her appeal.
Trump: I see. Well, I’ll take a look at it. I will speak to the DOJ. I wouldn’t consider it or not consider. I don’t know anything about it. So when I speak, I will speak to the dead girl.
Collins: Why would she’d be a candidate for clemency?
Trump: I don’t know. I may not have to speak to the DOJ. I’ll look at it all. I have a lot of people have asked me for pardons. I, I call a Puff Daddy (Sean P. Diddy Combs) has asked me for a pardon.
Collins: But she was convicted of child sex trafficking.
Trump: Yeah. I mean, I’m going to have to take a look at it. I’d have to ask DOJ. I didn’t know they rejected it. I didn’t know she was even asking for it, frankly.
This should have been an incredibly easy answer for Donald J. Trump. Maxwell is a convicted sex offender.
Ghislaine Maxwell was Jeffrey Epstein’s long-term co-conspirator. Epstein died by suicide before he could face trial on similar charges that Maxwell was convicted of. It’s estimated that Epstein had hundreds of victims, mostly underage girls.
Trump was friends with Jeffrey Epstein for at least 15 years and has blocked the release of files related to his many alleged crimes.
Stories Fox News Ignored
Every week I compare the hours I’ve watched on Fox News to five hours of “The PBS News Hour.” The following list are stories that PBS included that Fox News did not. Source - The PBS News Hour transcripts
The International Criminal Court convicted a Janjaweed militia leader for atrocities committed in Sudan’s Darfur region more than two decades ago. It is the first such conviction related to the violence in Darfur, where up to 300,000 people were killed and millions driven from their homes during a government crackdown on a rebellion starting in 2003. Abd-Al-Rahman faces a maximum sentence of life in prison. (PBS News Hour)
The Supreme Court rejected an appeal from Ghislaine Maxwell. Lawyers for Jeffrey Epstein’s longtime associate had argued that a plea deal should have shielded her from prosecution. The court’s decision means her only chance of early release would be clemency from President Trump. She’s currently serving a 20-year prison term. (PBS News Hour)
The Supreme Court declined to hear Missouri’s bid to revive a law intended to negate federal gun regulations in the state. They also brushed aside a lawsuit by far-right influencer Laura Loomer against social media companies that removed her from their platforms. And the court rejected an appeal by Live Nation in a consumer antitrust case related to ticket pricing. (PBS News Hour)
The Supreme Court heard arguments last week in a challenge to bans on so-called conversion therapy for youth. The Supreme Court declined to hear challenges to such bans in the past, but the case is being heard against a backdrop of intensifying cultural and political debates around LGBTQ rights. (PBS News Hour)
President Trump is said to be preparing a bailout package of at least $10 billion that could provide relief to farmers facing the financial pain of tariffs on China. Liz Landers spoke with Aaron Lehman, the President of the Iowa Farmers Union, representing growers in the second-largest soybean-producing state in the country. (PBS News Hour)
Saul Zabar, who ran the famous Manhattan food market Zabar’s for seven decades, has died. Zabar had planned to be a doctor, but stepped in to help the family business when his father passed away in 1950. Over the years, he helped turn a small shop into a cultural landmark of New York’s Upper West Side filled with smoked fish, gourmet cheeses, and roasted coffee. Zabar himself was considered chief coffee tester. Saul Zabar was 97 years old. (PBS News Hour)
Colombian President Gustavo Petro is accusing the Trump administration of carrying out military aggression by striking alleged drug boats in the Caribbean.
Those comments come a day after Petro said Colombian citizens were killed in the latest U.S. military boat strike, though he did not provide any evidence. The Trump administration called that allegation baseless. During a meeting with European officials in Belgium, Petro doubled down on his criticism of the U.S. It follows Senate Republicans blocking a war powers resolution aimed at preventing the U.S. military from carrying out the strikes. Last month, the administration told Congress that the attacks are justified because the U.S. is in armed conflict with the drug cartels. (PBS News Hour)
Russian President Vladimir Putin said his country’s forces were to blame for downing an Azerbaijan airlines jetliner last December. Putin explained during a meeting with Azerbaijan’s president that Russian air defenses had fired missiles toward an incoming Ukrainian drone, but they exploded near the jet as it was preparing to land. Putin also promised to punish those responsible.
It was his first public admission of responsibility for the crash that killed 38 people and roiled relations between the two countries. (PBS News Hour)
A federal judge in New York dismissed a defamation lawsuit brought by rapper Drake against his own record label Universal Music Group. At issue was a diss track written by Drake’s rival, Kendrick Lamar, as part of their long-running battle. Lamar’s song “Not Like Us” calls Drake a pedophile. He accused the label, which represents both artists, of damaging his brand and reputation by releasing the song. The judge said the track’s content is merely opinion and that “A war of words does not violate the law.” Lamar himself was not named in the suit. (PBS News Hour)
In Tennessee, officials say at least 19 people are missing and feared dead after an explosion at a plant that handles military-grade explosives. The blast happened at Accurate Energetic Systems about 60 miles southwest of Nashville. Aerial footage showed flames and smoke rising from the scene. Residents who live miles away said they felt their homes shake when the blast occurred. Authorities say there’s no further danger to locals. The cause of the blast is not yet known. (PBS News Hour)
Two back-to-back earthquakes shook the Philippines, killing at least seven people. They struck just hours apart along the same fault line off the country’s southeastern coast. The first 7.4-magnitude quake hit Friday morning local time. The second quake was just slightly weaker. Tsunami warnings set off mass evacuations in coastal areas, though they have since been lifted. The Philippines is still recovering from last month’s 6.9-magnitude earthquake that killed more than 70 people and displaced thousands more. (PBS News Hour)
Sister Jean Dolores Schmidt has died. She was known to basketball fans around the globe for her role as the chaplain and chief fan for the men’s team at Loyola University Chicago. At the age of 98, Sister Jean became a viral sensation for her constant presence during the school’s fairy tale run to the men’s Final Four back in 2018. She would lead the team in pregame prayers and provide players with support in victory and solace in defeat. Sister Jean held numerous roles at Loyola over her 60 years with the school and only stepped down back in August. She was 106 years old. (PBS News Hour)
The Massachusetts Institute of Technology is rejecting a White House proposal to adopt the government’s priorities on education in exchange for funding benefits. In a letter, MIT’s president said she cannot support the agreement, adding that: “The premise of the document is inconsistent with our core belief that scientific funding should be based on scientific merit alone.”
MIT is the first of nine colleges and universities to reject the proposal, which asked the schools to make commitments on issues like admissions caps, tuition freezes, and free speech on campus, among others. (PBS News Hour)
PBS announced the winners for the Nobel Prize in Medicine, Physics, Chemistry, and Literature. Fox News only focused on the Nobel Peace Prize which Trump did not win.

So important, but so long. It takes a while to read. I can’t imagine your suffering.
Jesse Watters wrote a book? Is it a comic?
