Trump at Madison Square Garden
An overview for folks who want to know every single speaker, every lie and exaggeration of this fascist spectacle.
Seven months before the start of World War Two, on February 20, 1939, a group of mostly German Americans called the German American Bund held what they called a “Pro American Rally” at Madison Square Garden in New York City. At the start of World War Two roughly 1.2 million American citizens were German born with some having strong ties to their birthplace.
At the “Pro American Rally,” large portrait of George Washington hung in the center of the stage which was flanked by American flags and Nazi swastikas. It was an openly pro-Nazi rally in the largest city in the United States.
At the start of the event a Jewish protester rushed the stage only to be hauled off and beaten by security.
Many leaders of the event would eventually wind up in detainment camps as part of the World War II Enemy Alien Control Program. Unlike their Japanese counterparts some German Americans were openly supportive of the Nazi regime and were sending aid and intelligence to a hostile foreign power. A few Nazi sympathizers, like Fritz Kuhn, the leader of the German American Bund, were eventually deported.
When Donald J. Trump announced he was holding a rally at Madison Square Garden about a week before the 2024 election many critics, including former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton pointed out the comparisons of Trump’s event to “Pro America Rally” held in 1939.
Trump’s campaign is short on cash it doesn’t make a ton of sense to spend lavishly for a rally in a state he has no chance of winning.
When I watched and analyzed the six-hour event Trump’s message was clear. This was his personal cult who would follow him all the way to a city most of them despise to show the rest of the country that any attempt to take him down or even declare him the loser in the next election will be challenged.
I went through the entire six-hour event in detail. I’ve included a chart of the words used by speakers at the bottom of this document along with a head count of speakers with a net worth of $500 million or more.
With all of Trump’s phony claims of blue-collar populism he surrounded himself with incredibly wealthy men including the richest man in the world.
Speakers with a net worth of $500 million or more
Trump likes to present himself as populist who is working for blue collar and lower income Americans yet he surrounds himself with incredibly wealthy people.

Opening Prayer
The rally opened with a prayer spoken by Tiffany Justice, one of the co-founders of Moms4Liberty. Justice was surrounded by retired FDNY members in full dress uniforms.
“We all watched you (God) spare President Trump from an assassin who will go down in history as a failure while we give you the credit and honor for protecting this man who has promised to fight, fight, fight for the United States,” said Justice.
Moms4Liberty is listed as an extremist organization on the Southern Poverty Law Center.

National Anthem sung by Mary Milburn
Milburn sang an extended version of the anthem with a soundtrack that included a full orchestra and a choir. Her rendition ramped up the jingoistic undercurrent of the event.
The crowd erupted into a spontaneous chant of “USA, USA, USA.”
Tony Hinchcliffe, comedian - host of Kill Tony podcast
His set started off fairly innocuous, but he quickly went right off the rails.
“Where are my proud Latinos tonight? You guys see what I mean? It's wide open. There's so many of them. It's absolutely incredible. Believe it or not, people, I welcome migrants to the United States of America with open arms. And by open arms, I mean like this,” said Hinchcliffe as he gestured with both arms in a way to push people away from him.
“And these Latinos, they love making babies to just know that they do. They do. There's no pulling out. They don't do that. They come inside, just like they did to our country,” said Hinchcliffe.
“My mom's a boomer in the state of Ohio, and, there's no convincing her of anything she's eaten the cats, she's eating the dogs. They're eating the pets up there,” said Hinchcliffe
“I don't know if you guys know this, but there's literally a floating island of garbage in the middle of the ocean right now. Yeah, I think it's called Puerto Rico,” Hinchcliffe
The crowd openly booed him.
“I think that Travis Kelce might be the next O.J. Simpson,” said Hinchcliffe.
“Heck yeah. It's cool. Black guy with the thing on his head. What the hell is that, a lampshade? Look at this guy. Oh, my goodness. Wow. I'm just kidding. That's one of my buddies. He had a Halloween party last night. We had fun. We carved watermelons together. It was awesome,” said Hinchcliffe.
“When it comes to Israel and Palestine, we're all thinking the same thing. Settle your stuff already. Best out of three. Rock, paper, scissors. You know the Palestinians are going to throw a rock every time. But you also know the Jews have a hard time throwing that paper. You know what I'm saying?” said Hinchcliffe as he gestured his hands as if he was counting money.
Producers showed another video montage about a pro-Trump visual artist as a canvas was set up onstage. Hinchcliffe also chanted “Fight, fight, fight.”
Scott Libido - visual artist
Libido gave a short speech about his history as an artist from Staten Island who was not accepted by the art world in Manhattan.
Libido then painted red, white and blue stripes and stars on a canvas as a recording of “America the Beautiful” played.
As the song finishes Libido pulls back part of the canvas to reveal a black and white portrait of Donald J. Trump hugging the Empire State Building.
Trump’s family and real estate company have no connections with The Empire State Building.
The crowd spontaneously erupted in cheers of “USA, USA, USA,” when this was completed.
A VoiceOver of Trump played throughout the arena.
“This is the final battle. With you at my side. We will demolish the deep state. We will expel the warmongers from our government. We will drive out the globalist. We will cast out the communist, Marxist and fascists. We will throw off the sick political class that hates our country. We will rout the fake news media. And we will liberate America from these villains once and for all.”
