Another reason people subscribe is because we are afraid of the hateful, divisive, and dehumanizing rhetoric being presented as reality to half the country.

Just wanted to say thank you again for all the work you do decoding Faux Knews. I actually can't handle even short periods of the manner in which they deliver their content of which I have two emotional responses, anger and rage.

I recently joined DFN Substack as a, I don't even know what its called but the most expensive level because I wanted to support your work. My unhealthy reaction to Trump, Fox, or what boils down to anything close to "conservative activism" makes me kind of sick. I have grown to despise these people in an unhealthy and aggressive way. Having recently retired from the Army after over 20 years of service, I feel that I have been insulted and assaulted by these people in serious personal, professional and even spiritual ways.

The conservative movement has been festering for decades in our society seemingly desiring to conform, pervert, master, and restructure America's civil institutions: the free press, the judicial system, the education system, , women's bodily autonomy, democratically elected legislatures, as well as the elections from the presidency down to the local school boards, into something hey can use to for their own devious ends. Oddly the ultimate conservative goal seems to promote and extoll righteous grievances to a level of righteous indignation I never knew even existed. The goal is not to achieve remedy or equanimity but for power to deride, criticize and punish the people who promote the personal or cultural differences for which conservatives are unwilling to find any compromise at all. The extreme manner in which they use democracy and fascism to undermine democratic values, alter truth and reality by twisting factual representations of events with fallacious logic supported by egregious falsehood's and distortions of the truth, is beyond the pale of anything resembling an acceptable stasis, or relationship, between two sets of rational people.

I submit one example. Mike Johnson actually said in your current report that the the final result of a voting population for President would preclude the opportunity or propensity for the elected individual to act out on the SCOTUS ruling of "immunity from prosecution" of an "official" act that could be considered criminal while, the former president of the United States is currently indicted in three jurisdictions for three separate criminal offenses; Federal Election Interference, Georgia Election Interference, and Illegal Retention of Classified Documents.

I hope this comment comes across as close to coherent, please reply with corrections or improvements. I can't even edit it for accuracy, as I am exhausted. Hopefully its close enough that people know what I'm trying to say. I know Biden's performance was poor during the debate but I'm sure that the Biden Administration can perform effectively for the next four years and if Biden should retire before the completion of his term, Vice-President Harris is fully capable to perform the duties of the Office. I read "I'll Take Your Questions Now", by Stephanie Grisham and "A Very Stable Genius" by Philip Rucker and Carol Leonnig which both described how Trump fumbled through his presidency which turned the entire Administration inside out and upside down in continual circus like acts of incompetence, idiocy, utter chaos and confusion.

This show is a treasure. There is no better exposé to the motivation behind MAGA. Seeing what fuels them makes MAGA make sense.
