Also the same network that mocked the Pelosis after Paul Pelosi was attacked. I would say their “values” are out of whack, but that would presume they have values in the first place.

Go Juliet!!!

Another solid post that shows how Fox News actively distracted its audience from unfavorable news about the Trump administration, specifically his declining poll numbers and concerns over trade policies. Instead of covering these issues, Fox instead focused on narratives portraying Democrats negatively, such as highlighting retirements to suggest party weakness and amplifying a concept called "dark woke" to criticize their tone.

Dark woke? WTF. Perhaps a new threat to Western civilization

Fox News downplayed its own poll showing Trump's low approval ratings, while disproportionately focusing on stories like a man keying Teslas (portraying the legal response as too lenient….. of course…. the only people who deserve leniency are Jan 6 rioters and Roger Stone) and giving extensive, uncritical airtime to Pete Hegseth.

Dark woke……. let’s get back to that….: a new term emerging in right-wing and centrist discourse as a strawman characterization of certain left-wing or progressive attitudes and strategies. It is being used to mock or criticize what some see as an evolution or intensification of "wokeness," often portraying it as more conspiratorial, nihilistic, or even authoritarian than previous iterations.

Of course, the right wing must main the enemy, and the enemy in their discourse must get stronger, evil-er (is that a word?) and more sinister.

Sigh

Perhaps it reflects a paranoia about a new, edgier style of Democratic rhetoric, and it quickly became intertwined with Texas Representative Jasmine Crockett after her viral clash with Marjorie Taylor Greene during a House Oversight Committee

On one level, "dark woke" refers to Democrats adopting a more provocative and blunt approach-embracing crudeness and sometimes profanity-to counter the aggressive tactics popularized by Trump and his allies. But the phrase also carries a double entendre, especially given Crockett's prominence as a black woman: it nods both to the rhetorical "darkness" of this combative strategy and to the racial dynamics at play, as Crockett’s unapologetic style and sharp retorts have made her a symbol of this movement. Her quip about Greene’s "bleach blonde bad built butch body" became a rallying point for liberals and a lightning rod for critics.

Go…. Dark woke!
